Who is the initiative open to?
Projects can be proposed by any of the following that is in some way related to the textiles, apparel, carpet, and footwear industries in New Zealand :
- Private companies;
- Publicly listed companies;
- Research institutes or organisations;
- Tertiary Institutes/research providers;
- Technology providers;
What kind of projects can be included and funded by the Transform initiative?
Any project from the broader textile industry that seeks to develop a new product or technology that can be delivered to market in 12 to 24 months with a clear point of difference will be considered.
Possible Project Examples:
Company X has identified a new opportunity in the market. This could be anything from a new product, a new material, or a new method of processing and manufacture; which will add value to a product and a point of difference in the market.
Organisation Y is developing a new technology and is looking for opportunities to commercialise it into new product applications. This could be anything from an innovative new material or processing technique that could be embodied in anything from a pair of footwear to a new flooring product.
Company Z has a particular requirement that needs to be fulfilled in their existing products. This could be a product requirement, a technology requirement, or even a customer requirement.
